Privacy Policy

What we collect

Very little. Seat & Spray has no accounts, no comments, and no checkout. The information we receive falls into three buckets:

  • Server logs. Like nearly every website, our server records standard log information — the page requested, the time, your browser type, and your IP address. We use these logs to count readers, spot broken pages, and block automated abuse.
  • Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, and message, and we keep them so we can reply and follow up.
  • Affiliate clicks. When you click a product link, the retailer or affiliate network on the other end may set a cookie in your browser so the sale can be attributed. That cookie is set and controlled by the retailer (for Amazon links, by Amazon) under their privacy policy, not ours.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell personal information. To anyone, ever.
  • We don’t operate user accounts or store passwords.
  • We don’t run third-party advertising trackers of our own beyond the affiliate attribution described above and basic, privacy-respecting traffic counting.

Analytics

We review overall traffic patterns (which pages get read, roughly where readers come from) to decide what to write next. We do not build profiles of individual readers.

Your choices

You can block cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work. If you’ve emailed us and want the thread deleted, write to contact@seatandspray.com and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a fresh date at the top.
